On Thursday night, Canada played an exhibition game against Russia and the team led by Dave Cameron won. Canada won their duel against Russia 6-4 in front of a few scattered supporters in Rodger Place.
Honestly, everyone was dazzled by the phenomenal presence of Mason McTavish, who took a double, as well as Kent Johnson, who spread his magic hands a few times.
However, for my part, I did remember one thing about Kaiden Guhle, a very special player because of his great maturity and his leadership at the height of a Shea Weber.
Moreover, how did he behave yesterday, during this preparation game?
The difference between 2020 and 2021 is simply remarkable. During last year's championship, Guhle was more shy from the start. He had to acclimatize to the rhythm of the game. But this year, he dominated and bitten powerfully from his first presence.
His defensive play was on another level, showing how special he was. Without being «flashy», he will certainly be the most important player on his team because of his ton of abilities, including his leadership.
