It's kind of amazing what is happening with prospect Joshua Roy, of the Montreal Canadiens.
The forward from Saint-Georges-de-Beauce had another historic night yesterday, ending the game with a total of six (6) points in a win for his team, 9 to 1 against the Victoriaville Tigres.
He is dominating.
His total for the season? 73 points in 37 games. He is the leading scorer in the QMJHL by far, despite being only 18 years old.
It's incredible, the Canadians only had to use a fifth-round pick (150th overall) to get their hands on this very promising player.
Why a steal? Because it is 100% sure and confirmed that, if we had to start over the 2021 NHL Draft, Roy would be picked in the first round. The leaders of the Habs (those in place last summer) have therefore succeeded in transforming a 5th round pick into a 1st round pick, that is major for an organization, a true game changer.
Definitely a name to watch, maybe a future star player for the Canadiens.
