Over the summer, the Carolina Hurricanes' Twitter account had fun humiliating the Montreal Canadiens on numerous occasions following the offer sheet made to Jesperi Kotkaniemi.
Tonight was Jesperi Kotkaniemi's official return to the Bell Centre for the first time since leaving the Habs. The worst possible scenario happened, KK scored his first goal in the Hurricanes uniform against the Habs. A situation that amused the Carolina Hurricanes.
In addition to laughing at the Habs, because KK scored tonight, the Canes amputated the legs of the Canadiens by putting the 4 to 1 loss under their nose in French.
The organization even created a website called didthehabslose.com, where you can buy Hurricanes t-shirts for only 20 dollars (Sebastian Aho), for 24 hours. The promo code is named "YES". The Canes are really going out of their way to ridicule the Habs, you can feel their hatred towards the Montreal organization.
In closing, the Canes delivered an uppercut to the Habs by writing "report the score to the league". This tip refers to the rumors that the Canadiens accused Carolina of having an illegal schedule. The whole thing was reported to the NHL according to those same rumors.
The slogan "Bunch of jerks" applies perfectly to the Carolina Hurricanes, no doubt about it!
