We told you about it in the last few hours, now that the second round of the NHL playoffs is over, things are shaping up and several trades are taking place.

This is notably the case of the trade between the Montreal Canadiens and the Calgary Flames, involving Tyler Toffoli.

The exact return is now known, details here:

A nice bonus! In fact, picks #1 through #28 are now all officially settled, as reported by the solid resource CapFriendly:

Another trade now settled for Montreal: the one with the Arizona Coyotes, involving Christian Dvorak, following the famous hostile offer that led to the departure of Jesperi Kotkaniemi.

Let's remember that on September 4th, Dvorak was traded from the Yotes to the Habs, for a 2022 first round pick and a 2024 second round pick.

Let's also remember the special condition attached to the first round pick involved here. In the trade, Montreal had to send the best selection between their pick and the Hurricanes', unless the CH's pick was top 10.

In the end, as we know, the CH pick is top-10 (it's #1), so the Coyotes fortunately receive the Hurricanes' pick and with their elimination yesterday, their pick is now effectively known and settled. It will be the 27th overall pick next July.

In addition, the second round pick was also conditional and finally becomes a 3rd round pick.

So, here is the final trade:

To MONTREAL - Christian Dvorak

TO ARIZONA - 27th overall pick in 2022 + A 3rd round pick

It could have really gone badly for the CH (thanks to the protection attached to the CH's 1st round pick), but in the end, we can say that it's a good transaction from Marc Bergevin.
