At a press conference earlier today, Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes was asked about the Carey Price situation.

Once again, it's not clear and we can clearly apply the popular expression "no news, good news":

GM Kent Hughes, on Carey Price's status for next season: "the only way we're going to have total clarity is if we somehow learn that he can't play. Otherwise, we'll have to wait until the season starts, to see how his knee reacts when he faces the rigors of an NHL regular season schedule."

Kent Hughes even agreed to advance an ideal date to get an answer:

General Manager Kent Hughes says the team would ideally like to have answers about Carey Price's status, for next season, before the opening day of the NHL's free-agent market (July 13).

Currently, we're at the point where Carey Price has seen a specialist, in Pittsburgh, at the end of the season, and he hasn't met with any other doctors (yet).

How his knee responds to the new treatments will be crucial in clarifying the situation.

Here is the excerpt from Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes' press briefing, giving his famous update on Carey Price's health:
