Last Friday, Carey Price played his first game in 282 days as he recovered from a knee surgery last summer. The goaltender reflected on his first start of the season, which ended in a 3-0 loss.
Price said he was happy to be back in action and will be ready to return to the net Tuesday night. He also said he received encouraging messages from many former teammates and NHLers after his return to action, including Tomas Plekanec and Sidney Crosby.
Pleky (Tomas Plekanec) contacted me and said he was very happy to see me back on the ice. I told him thanks. Sid (Sidney Crosby) also texted me. It was nice and surprising. Actually, it wasn't really surprising, but I was happy to get his message - Carey Price
The former CH number 14 also found the way Price explained it to the media quite comical.
