On this Sunday night, the Seattle Kraken and the San Jose Sharks have completed a transaction.
The Kraken acquired defenseman Jaycob Megna from the Sharks, in exchange for a conditional 4th round pick in 2023.
The condition: the pick will be Seattle's or Colorado's. That will be decided by June 15, 2023.
Good news for the Habs?
Why is this good news for Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens? Observer Marc-Olivier Beaudoin sums it up very well:
"Complete the sentence: If Jaycob Megna is worth a 4th round pick, Joel Edmundson is worth?" - Marc-Olivier Beaudoin Answer: a lot more. And probably a first round pick.
More details to follow.
Megna, 30, has 12 points (1 goal) in 48 games this season, and 25 points in his NHL career.
