Marc-André Fleury is now a member of the Chicago Blackhawks and since this announcement, it seems that the goalie is thinking about a possible retirement. According to his agent, Allan Walsh, Flower learned via social media (Twitter) that he had been traded by Kelly McCrimmon and the Vegas Golden Knights.

However, when the GM saw the speech that Fleury's agent was holding via Twitter, he was quick to clarify things up. He made it clear that he took the time to tell Fleury on July 12 that the Chicago Blackhawks were very interested in his services.

"Vegas general manager Kelly McCrimmon said he informed Marc-André Fleury on Chicago's interest in him on July 12."

It was on June 29 that he made sure to have a conversation with Fleury in an effort to be honest :

"The conversations with Fleury started during the off-season meetings on June 29. They said they weren't sure what they would do next season...told Fleury that he wanted him to be fully aware of all discussions...and that if Fleury heard anything, he was free to call McCrimmon..."

So, as in all cases, there are two sides to the story and it's up to people to choose which side they want to believe or not. McCrimmon thanked Fleury for his valuable services, while indicating that the goalie has been the image of the franchise since its creation.
