The Montreal Canadiens organization has just announced, in the last few minutes, that defenseman Corey Schueneman has been placed on the NHL's COVID-19 protocol.
It's been a long time, but the virus is inviting itself again in the Habs' locker room.
Schueneman practiced with his teammates this morning, but obviously didn't make the trip to New York. He will not face the Islanders and the Habs may have to play with five d-mens, possibly.
This positive test comes at a very bad time for the young defenseman, who had his best moments of his career and who was having the full trust of coach Martin St-Louis.
He was really establishing himself with Montreal and let's hope that this doesn't slow his momentum.
