Wayne Gretzky was really afraid of groupies

Wayne Gretzky is certainly the best player in NHL history, especially in terms of career points. Gretzky scored 2,857 points (894 goals, 1,363 assists) in 1,487 games, while adding 382 points in 208 playoff games. A colossal harvest!
However, first and foremost, Gretzky is a gentleman who was very well educated by "dad" and "mom" Gretzky. That's probably why he never got on an elevator alone. What's that? Yes, yes, the 99 made sure he wasn't alone with groupie ladies so he wouldn't be accused of anything.
"Wayne Gretzky never/rarely rode an elevator by himself because he was afraid some psycho female groupie would blackmail him with a bogus assault story."
He had his back, unlike other stars, who have already been falsely accused... There have been a ton of real stories, but there have also been fake stories that have been fabricated to get a few loonies in the end. In short, just like on the ice, Gretzky has been outstanding!
