It's finally time for the Habs' training camp for the 2022-2023 season to get underway, as medical testing took place on Wednesday before everyone jumped on the ice for the team's first official practice.

No less than 74 players have been invited to camp this year and all eyes should be on a certain Juraj Slafkovsky. The Habs' first pick in the last draft will certainly get a lot of attention, which could make some of the team's prospects less under the microscope, such as 2021 first-round pick defenseman Logan Mailloux.

Mailloux is recovering from an injury suffered in March 2022, but good news for Canadiens fans, he was back at practice with other Canadiens rookies on Tuesday. However, he was wearing a no-contact jersey and we recall that he was not able to participate in the rookie tournament in Buffalo last week.

In any case, good news for Mailloux! He is back with the other rookies and he is finally back on the ice!

Mark Hunter, General Manager of the London Knights, Mailloux's junior team in the Ontario Junior League, had mentioned in early September that the Dman was not fully recovered from a shoulder injury suffered in the spring.

The good news is that Mailloux now appears to be close to a return to action during training camp and it will be interesting to see if he is able to play in a preseason game for the Habs.

Because despite all the controversy that has surrounded him since his selection in the summer of 2021, many believe that it is time to move on and that Mailloux can finally prove that he is a quality prospect for years to come with the Habs.
