The young forward for the Montreal Canadiens, Ivan Demidov, known for his incredible offensive talent, has just sent a rather unexpected message.
In an interview with the official MHL website, he sent a clear message by mentioning that he is absolutely ready to drop the gloves if needed.
«I'm not looking to drop the gloves, but if your opponent is looking for you, you have to fight.» - Ivan Demidov
I have a feeling he won't waste any time winning over the Canadiens' locker room and the fans of Montreal.
Ivan Demidov sends a clear message!
Let's remember that last season, Demidov had to drop the gloves, which created a rare general brawl in the KHL.
The young man is also perfectly down-to-earth about his pugilistic skills.
«He admits he doesn't exactly have great technique. He mostly improvised... but he says he wasn't at the bottom of the pile, so he must have won,» said Ivan Demidov about that infamous general brawl.
One thing is certain, he will never be afraid to defend a teammate if the situation calls for it, but he obviously won't be looking to drop the gloves on a regular basis.
It shows his character and the fact that he is ready for anything for his teammates. We love it.
We warmly recommend the full interview.
