Kent Hughes announces the surprise departure of a Habs coach
The general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, has just announced the departure of a member of the organization.
The one who was partially in charge during the Montreal Canadiens' training camps, and who was especially a highly respected coach with the Habs' affiliate club, Kelly Buchberger will not be returning next season.
See the official announcement.
The Laval Rocket announced that assistant coach Kelly Buchberger will not be returning for the 2024-2025 season.

Details will follow, but this is obviously a significant loss for the Montreal Canadiens organization and for the development of young players.
Some saw him potentially alongside Martin St-Louis, but that will ultimately not be the case.
We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours.
Buchberger notably quickly developed a special bond with Arber Xhekaj.
