Since the beginning of the CH's rebuild, the Laval Rocket has seen a surge in popularity. Fans want to see the future stars of the team and do not hesitate to make their way to Place Bell to watch the club's prospects.
They even had the chance to see three first-round draft pick defensemen play at the same time, as Logan Mailloux, Justin Barron, and David Reinbacher all recently played in a game. Let's not forget about Arber Xhekaj and Joshua Roy, who have also played games with the Laval team.
Fans have been truly spoiled this season!
During a recent appearance on the show Les Amateurs de Sports on 98.5 Sports, the Rocket's head coach, Jean-François Houle, discussed the prospects he has seen this season. He even revealed who he thinks is the closest to the NHL right now.
In the mind of the Rocket's coach, there's no doubt. It's Logan Mailloux!
In a recent column, we mentioned that Gaston Therrien holds the young man in very high regard. He is convinced that Mailloux will not only start the season with the CH but will remain with them throughout the campaign.
In 68 games this season, the rookie has already accumulated a total of 44 points, including 14 goals. He was also the Rocket's representative at the AHL All-Star Game.
