Some have raised potential concerns about the decisions he's making off the ice.
Joshua Roy was back in front of the media this Tuesday, and he absolutely said all the right things.
Hats off to him, and to how he's handling this demotion to Laval. It's definitely a step in the right direction for the young player, and you can tell he's going to come back stronger than ever.
This is exactly the right attitude to have, and it's the perfect way to silence the rumors about his off-ice decisions.
It also aligns perfectly with what new Laval Rocket head coach Pascal Vincent has been saying:
It will be really interesting to watch Joshua Roy's start to the season, given how talented he is.
Roy, only 21 years old, is a 6-foot, 192-pound forward who was drafted 150th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in 2021 (fifth round).
Last season, he recorded 9 points in 23 games with the Canadiens, and 32 points in 41 games with the Laval Rocket in the AHL.
