The Canadiens make a controversial decision with Arber Xhekaj and fans are pissed with the outcome
Here's one we really didn't see coming.
As the Montreal Canadiens players just jumped onto the Bell Centre ice for the warm-up session ahead of today's game against the St. Louis Blues, a young defenseman is missing from the roll call.
Arber Xhekaj isn't there; he's been sent to the stands!
See the report from Patrick Friolet, of RDS:
"The CH lineup today:
-Roy in place of Harvey-Pinard
-Harris in place of Xhekaj
-Allen in goal
Caufield-Suzuki-Slafkovsky
Pearson-Evans-Anderson
Roy-Newhook-Armia
Pezzetta-Gignac-Ylonen
Matheson-Guhle
Struble-Savard
Harris-Kovacevic
Allen
Montembeault"
Xhekaj is scratched and has to skip his turn again.
It's starting to become worrisome for the young Xhekaj, especially when compared to last season, as he seems to be falling further and further out of favor with the organization.
Will he be sent down to the Laval Rocket if this continues? Will he be traded? To be continued...
