BREAKING: Capitals have traded Kuznetsov
The Washington Capitals have been trying to offload Evgeny Kuznetsov since being placed on waivers after clearing the NHL PA program. They now have found the russian forward a new home.
Capitals trade Kuznetsov to Hurricanes
Just after last night's blockbuster trade regarding Jake Guentzel, the Hurricanes are still working the Phones after acquiring forward Evgeny Kuznetsov in exchange for a 3rd round pick in 2025. The Capitals will be retaining 50% of Kuznetsov's cap hit of 7.9M. That means he will cost the Canes 3.8M for the next season.
