Sad announcement from the Canadiens about Kaiden Guhle and it's over
Kaiden Guhle was solidly hit by Nikita Kucherov, and the Canadiens just made an announcement.
«Defenseman Kaiden Guhle will not return to play tonight (upper body).» - Montreal Canadiens
It's obviously worrying for the future, especially considering Guhle's history of concussions.
Details will follow.
In case you missed the hit:
Guhle, 22 years old, is a 6-foot-3-inch, 201-pound defenseman. He has accumulated 22 points (six goals) in 69 games this season.
He has truly established himself as a top-4 defenseman in the organization and has quickly become a cornerstone of the Canadiens.
So, it's obviously a situation we will be closely following over the next few hours, but with good reason, the club is likely to be cautious with its young defenseman and future top-pair defenseman.
