Huge: Kent Hughes is currently working on a trade to acquire the second overall pick from the Ducks
In the last few minutes, journalist Arpon Basu from The Athletic has published a major article, in which he reveals a ton of information.
Notably, he confirms a piece of news launched earlier today by Alexandre Gascon from Radio-Canada.
The Montreal Canadiens are currently doing everything they can to conclude a trade in order to move up their 5th overall pick!
They want to move up to the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th overall spot.
Basu adds a good one:
They are trying to make a trade with the Sharks for the #4 pick, but they have also contacted the Anaheim Ducks to inquire about acquiring the 2nd overall pick. - Arpon Basu
Wow, we love it! However, it confirms that the Habs' leaders evidently do not want to "settle" for Matvei Michkov.
The cost would obviously be high, but Kent Hughes wants to try and acquire Adam Fantilli.
A file to follow in the next two weeks.
