Major announcement: A contract close to 12 million dollars signed by Alex Newhook and the Canadiens
Alex Newhook's new contract has just been revealed!
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Newhook and the Montreal Canadiens have just signed a contract worth $11.6 million over four seasons ($2.9 million per year).
This could quickly become quite a steal, wow!
At $2.9 million per season, Newhook will be paid like a 35- to 40-point player, at most, which he already is!
So, even if Newhook doesn't improve at all in four seasons, he won't be a burden on the team.
But at just 22, it's almost 100% certain that he'll make serious progress and quickly become a bargain, just like Kirby Dach.
At the age of 21, Newhook got 30 points (14 goals) last season with the Colorado Avalanche.
The Canadiens agree to terms on a four-year contract (2023-24 to 2026-27) with forward Alex Newhook.-Montreal Canadiens
