Major announcement from the Kraken and a trade with the Montreal Canadiens involving a goalie becomes very possible
Over the last few minutes, the Seattle Kraken has announced a major bad news, as their starting goaltender Philipp Grubauer will be out for several weeks due to a lower body injury.
This is certainly interesting news for Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens. Obviously, because it creates an urgency for Seattle to bring in reinforcement in goal, especially knowing that the Kraken was already in contact with the Canadiens for a trade!
And yes! The Kraken were already interested in acquiring a goaltender from the Habs, and now they lose their best goalie.
This drastically increases their interest, obviously.
See what TVA Sports network notably reports:
"If Grubauer's absence is prolonged, the Kraken might well turn to the Montreal Canadiens and Jake Allen to find more assurance in goal. In this regard, Bruce Garrioch of the "Ottawa Sun" mentioned last week that Ron Francis, the general manager of Seattle, had picked up the phone to inquire about the goaltender situation in Montreal with Kent Hughes." A big file to follow in the coming days, then!
