Major trade completed between the Oilers and Preds after their elimination
As reported by my colleague Alexandre Desrosiers, following the Oilers' elimination at the hands of the Vegas Golden Knights, the major trade between Edmonton and the Nashville Predators has officially been completed.
It is indeed a pleasant surprise for the Predators!
Let's recall that during the most recent trade deadline, the following major trade took place:

As confirmed by CapFriendly, with the elimination of Connor McDavid's squad in the second round of the 2023 playoffs, the Oilers have confirmed the 1st-round pick as the 24th overall.
This is excellent news for Nashville, as the pick will be earlier than expected.
Therefore, the Predators could acquire a talented player at the draft.
