In recent days, many observers have been linking Quebecer Alexis Lafrenière's name to the Montreal Canadiens, and several even put forward concrete trade proposals.
In the last few hours, it was Mathias Brunet's turn to join in, as rumors are currently circulating that Lafrenière might be available on the trade market.
The Canadiens could potentially be interested.
In short, Mathias Brunet would trade forward Josh Anderson and a prospect in exchange for Quebecer Lafrenière.
Would you make this trade? And which prospect would you include?
To Montreal : Alexis Lafrenière
To New York : Josh Anderson and a prospect
However, he also has some reservations :
Brunet adds that if the Rangers are to trade Lafrenière, it will be to help them in the short term, hence the idea of including Anderson.
