Major trades concluded by Kent Hughes and the Canadiens: Jake Allen, Joel Armia, Brendan Gallagher, Josh Anderson, Caufield, and Suzuki are the only ones remaining from the 2021 playoffs
Unbeknownst to many, Kent Hughes has been extremely active since his arrival as General Manager of the Montreal Canadiens.
He has concluded numerous (solid) trades in just a few months, and a photo just made us realize how much the face of the team has changed in barely two years!
A picture is worth a thousand words!
Edmundson has been traded, Lehkonen has been traded, Kotkaniemi signed a hostile offer in Carolina, Jeff Petry has been traded (twice), Shea Weber has been traded, Ben Chiarot has been traded, Tyler Toffoli has been traded, Philip Danault signed in Los Angeles, Corey Perry has left, and Carey Price along with Paul Byron are no longer active.
All this, in barely two years.
Now imagine what the team might look like in two more seasons! Things are moving fast in Montreal, in any case.
The plan of Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton is well underway.
Exciting times ahead!
