Pierre-Luc Dubois Would Have Changed His Mind

In a very interesting article just published by Arpon Basu, on The Athletic, it is understood that the Quebecer forward Pierre-Luc Dubois would have changed his mind.

Here is the section in question:

"This is why he gave the Jets a list of 5-6 teams where he would like to continue his career, instead of insisting that Winnipeg absolutely make a trade with the Montreal Canadiens. [Dubois wants to help the Jets and he wants to do things correctly. He knows that by giving them a list of 5-6 teams, it's much better for them compared to forcing them to make a trade with the Habs.]

That was his original idea, to absolutely go to Montreal. According to a source, this was a decision Dubois made with his heart, but when he began to think with his head and his logic, he broadened his horizons. He opened his mind to other possibilities (than Montreal), other destinations that would make him happy in the long term." - Arpon Basu

So, it's up to you to judge (we have put the link to the original text at the bottom), but we understand here that initially, Dubois absolutely wanted to play for the Montreal Canadiens and that's what his heart was telling him.

The Habs were his only option.

However, over time, he began to think more rationally about other possibilities, not to overly restrict his current team (the Jets) and to do things properly with Winnipeg.

He therefore identified a few other destinations where he would be happy to continue his career.

Pierre-Luc Dubois with the Montreal Canadiens is certainly still possible, but it's far from being 100% assured.
