The Bruins place a surprising player on NHL waivers and it's embarrassing for the them
In the last few minutes, the Boston Bruins surprised everyone by announcing that their 13th overall pick (1st round) from 2015, Jakub Zboril, has been placed on waivers.
He is now available to be claimed for free by an NHL team.
In Providence, he managed to score seven points in his 19 played games.
Zboril is mainly known for being part of the three disastrous picks by the Bruins in 2015.
Back then, Boston drafted Jake DeBrusk, Zach Senyshyn, and Zboril, right before star players Kyle Connor, Mathew Barzal, and Thomas Chabot.
They had three first-round picks in an extremely talented draft and somehow managed to miss out.
Two of the three mentioned picks have been placed on waivers, which is quite embarrassing for them, especially considering the very talented players who were drafted after and just before.
More details to follow.
Do you think Zboril will be claimed?
Here's all the talent they missed out on:
