We have new developments regarding the NHL trade market, and it again concerns forward Anthony Beauvillier.

As you know, while he was with the New York Islanders, Beauvillier was seriously involved in numerous speculations.

He was eventually traded to the Vancouver Canucks (in January 2023).

However, less than a year later, it seems that Beauvillier is back on the trading block.

"The Canucks are looking to improve and a trade could mean the departure of one or two high-salary players.

The network TSN indicated Wednesday through the voice of its hockey expert Darren Dreger that the British Columbia organization wants to acquire a right-handed defenseman." - TVA Sports

According to Dreger, Quebec's Anthony Beauvillier is likely to be sacrificed in such a transaction.

Notably due to the difficulties of trading Conor Garland, Beauvillier would indeed be the new winger placed on the trade market there.

The price to pay? An affordable right-handed defenseman.

Interesting.

Beauvillier, 26 years old, a first-round pick in 2015, has 5 points in 12 games this season with Vancouver.

He also gathered 20 points in 33 games last season with the Canucks.

A file to follow! The candidate for the Montreal Canadiens would possibly be Justin Barron or Johnatan Kovacevic, but Kent Hughes will probably not do that.

Beauvillier remains a good candidate for another club.
