It is clear that there is a lot of action in the NHL trade market right now, and the Montreal Canadiens want to get involved.

We have, of course, seen the major trade for forward Mikko Rantanen, the big trade for J.T. Miller, the deal involving Andrei Kuzmenko, Jakob Pelletier, Morgan Frost, and Joel Farabee, the trade for Marcus Pettersson, and more!

According to David Pagnotta, Canadiens GM Kent Hughes also wants to make a move.

In fact, he is actively working on it at the moment.

According to the insider from The Fourth Period, the Montreal Canadiens are looking to acquire another solid young forward, much like they did with Patrik Laine, Kirby Dach, and Alex Newhook.

Kent Hughes is actively working the phones to finalize a trade

Here's what has been reported.

«He (Hughes) wants to add this type of player in terms of age and potential to his roster.

He is looking to make this kind of addition.»

This is very interesting! A young forward like Jonathan Lekkerimaki fits this description.

This will be a situation to watch closely in the coming days and weeks, but I absolutely believe it would be beneficial for Montreal to add a young forward who can already contribute while also being a solid piece for the future.

Another name that fits this description is Dylan Cozens from the Buffalo Sabres. And, of course, there is also the well-known Trevor Zegras.
