According to expert David Ettedgui, it could be the end for two established forwards of the Montreal Canadiens, who will be traded by Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton.

As the 2024 NHL Draft approaches, trade rumors are heating up, and based on past events, the Canadiens could announce a trade literally from one day to the next.

Who will be involved? Various predictions are circulating right now, and recently on BPM Sports radio, it was David Ettedgui's turn to weigh in.

The player agent and analyst mentioned that he believes it could be the end for Christian Dvorak and Jesse Ylonen in Montreal.

The End for Christian Dvorak and Jesse Ylonen with the Canadiens?

He is not the only one who thinks so.

«Christian Dvorak will no longer be here at training camp. I would use him to free up salary cap space and include him in a trade for a player I want to bring to Montreal.

So he won't be here anymore. He's no longer in the Canadiens' future plans. We have young centers who will surpass him in the future like Owen Beck, Oliver Kapanen, who will come up. Jake Evans is even more valuable than him in the short and medium term.

Jesse Ylonen, it's over. 59 games, 4 goals and 4 assists. I think he missed his chance, and we won't see him at training camp again.» - David Ettedgui

These are still two players who have established themselves as regulars in Martin St-Louis' lineup, Ylonen this season, but who could be easily replaced by younger players.

And according to you, have Ylonen and Dvorak played their last games in a Montreal Canadiens uniform?

Jesse Ylonen, 24 years old, recorded 8 points in 59 games with the Canadiens this season, and he didn't play a single game with the Laval Rocket in 2023-24.

He is a restricted free agent this summer.

Christian Dvorak, 28 years old, recorded 9 points in 30 games with the Canadiens this season, and he had 28 points in 64 games last season, in 2022-23.

He is signed for 4.45 million dollars until 2025.
