With the NHL trade deadline coming up in exactly one month, trades rumors involving Canadiens players will surely be followed by all hockey fans.

It is obvious that a player like Ben Chiarot should play elsewhere during the next weeks and that the rumors regarding Artturi Lehkonen will be more and more numerous.

Precisely, concerning the Finnish forward, certain rumors send him to the Rangers or the Capitals, but we could now add another team where Lehkonen would have a chance of succeeding by March 21.

The Minnesota Wild would be interested in the Canadiens forward, according to analyst Yvon Pedneault.

And they have interesting elements to offer, like defender Carson Lambos, forward Marat Khusnutdinov, Adam Beckman, or even draft picks.

«Minnesota is in the picture now. For a GM, he's a very reliable player, he shows up every night. When you take him on a final sprint for playoff participation, you're sure he won't interfere with your training. He does not cost much and he be valuable. He can play shorthanded and he has some versatility." -Yvon Pedneault

Some experts claim Kent Hughes could get a first-round pick in return for Lehkonen and the fact that he's a restricted free agent at the end of the season makes him very attractive to teams looking to make a playoff run.
