ANNOUNCEMENT: the Montreal Canadiens send young defenseman Arber Xhekaj on leave, a major announcement that will obviously disappoint Rocket fans
We were eager to see what the Montreal Canadiens would do with Arber Xhekaj during this week off, and we were closely monitoring for an announcement.
It seems we now have our answer.
The Canadiens prefer to send Arber Xhekaj on leave rather than to the Laval Rocket, which honestly is a good idea!
Indeed, while many believed this:
«So Arber Xhekaj [was] scratched from the Canadiens' lineup in Pittsburgh. We shouldn't be surprised to see him return to Laval for the three home games next week while the NHL is on break. Why not?» - Anthony Marcotte, BPM Sports
The CH has apparently decided to let it be and let Xhekaj rest instead of joining Logan Mailloux and the Rocket.
Do you like this decision?
We also recommend, on this topic, the article by Eric Engels from Sportsnet:
«It's a week to recharge, get some well-deserved physical and mental rest, and put things in perspective, and no one on the Montreal Canadiens could benefit from it more than Arber Xhekaj.»
Very well said! We wish Arber lots of fun, rest, a change of scenery, to regain confidence, and to come back as the Sheriff we adore!
