With the many changes that have occurred over the past few weeks in the Montreal Canadiens organization and those that are to come, it is clear that we are entering a rebuilding process.
However, is it necessary to sell everything? What are the elements that must remain in the organization?
According to assistant coach Alex Burrows, there are about ten players on which the Canadiens must build. When looking at the long term, you have to build around young players. "I think of Suzuki, Caufield and Romanov. Then there are the Evans, Poehling, Guhle, Norlinder, Vejdemo and Harvey-Pinard. Often you want to build with your young core.»
Obviously, the first three are not a surprise, talking about Suzuki, Caufield and Romanov. However, among the other names, there are some players that we did not expect to see as untouchables.
Do you agree with the list of names mentioned by Burrows? In your opinion, who are the players that will be part of the core for the next few years of rebuilding?
