This Friday morning, the Habs announced, to everyone's surprise, that Jonathan Drouin was changing his number. He decided to wear the 27 he wore with the Halifax Moosehead and the Tampa Bay Lightning.

This news prompted former CH content creator Marc Dumont to tell a great story about the Quebec forward.

A story and an important anecdote to show that Drouin, beyond the criticism that is constantly thrown at him, is quite a gentleman.

"Here's a funny story about : Drouin.

At the end of his rehab for his wrist surgery, he agreed to play in a youth ball hockey tournament with Nick Suzuki.

Tons of kids (and adults!) wanted his signature.

So he replaced his regular rehab exercises with a card signing session.

Good guy."

Dumont, who has often been in contact with players during his time with the CH, mentions that the last time he met Drouin, the latter was in a great mood and was full of hope on the sidelines of the upcoming season.

The reporter also added a warning to fans to adjust their expectations to something realistic. He thinks that if Drouin passes the 50-point mark next season, it will be a great campaign.

"As long as people stop expecting top-line production and accept that 50 pts is what you get for that salary, everything should be fine.

Expectations were ridiculous when Drouin came in. He was oversold.

Adjust them accordingly."
