In the last few seconds, under his hat as general manager of the Laval Rocket, Kent Hughes made two signings, one of which is interesting.
The Laval Rocket continues its preparation ahead of the next season. After signing defenseman Olivier Galipeau this weekend, the organization agreed on Tuesday with two other players, Riley McKay and John Parker-Jones.
The two players have agreed on the terms of a one-way (AHL) contract for one season.
They have therefore proven their utility to the Rocket, especially in terms of the robustness they bring to the lineup.
McKay, who is 24 years old, is a left-handed defenseman standing 6 feet tall and weighing 203 pounds. He amassed two goals and five assists in 23 games last season with the Rocket, in addition to spending no less than 118 minutes in the penalty box.
John Parker-Jones, who is 23 years old, is a right-handed defenseman, a monster at 6 feet 7 inches tall and 230 pounds. He accumulated three points and 34 penalty minutes in 20 games last season with the Rocket. He attracted the attention of many Montreal Canadiens fans during the 2022 training camp.
