This morning, we just learned some rather surprising news, courtesy of Jonathan Trudeau (COGECO):
"New: Minister @EricGirardMFQ will meet with Gary Bettman today in NY at the @NHL offices. I'm told this is a "courtesy meeting to keep the lines of communication open".
To be continued!"
Still, it's interesting, especially since Bettman was in town (in Montreal) two weeks ago, and now they're meeting in New York.
Let's add that the Nordiques minister and Gary Bettman had one of those famous "courtesy meeting to keep the communication channels open" just recently. This will be the second such "meeting" between Quebec City and Bettman in just a few months.
It's probably not directly related, but let's remember the terrible situation of the Arizona Coyotes, who will have to play in a mini arena with less than 4800 seats for the next few years. (an arena where they will be the secondary team)
We imagine that the subject will be discussed!
