In the last few days, some fans and observers have noticed that forward Jonathan Drouin is playing very well, and it makes you wonder if this could have a concrete impact on the trade market.
We may have just found out the answer.
According to Maxime Truman, Jonathan Drouin's value is currently on the rise. One of his knowledgeable sources in the NHL told him that if Drouin continues on his current path, he will be traded in a few weeks:
"An agent told me that if Jonathan Drouin continues to play like this and stays healthy, he'll be gone at the trade deadline." - Maxime Truman
That's what he mentioned, in the last few hours, on BPM Sports.

That's quite a turnaround from what was being said a few weeks ago, when some sources were saying that Drouin was unfortunately "untradeable." That would have completely changed and it's 100% thanks to Jonathan Drouin.
He has had some tough times, he has been injured a few times, but we have to admit that he has been bringing good things to the team for the last few games (6 points in his last 6 games).
Truman specifies however, without much surprise, that we should not expect the return of the century in exchange for Drouin, especially because of his contract.
On the other hand, if we can get our hands on a prospect or a draft pick, and thus allow Drouin to try his luck elsewhere, it could be excellent for everyone.
As my colleague Vincent Fournier mentioned, we won't get a first round pick for Jonathan Drouin, but we could get something, which seemed impossible a few weeks ago.
What do you think would be a realistic return? A prospect? A mid-draft pick?
