During his press briefing following his team's practice this morning, Brendan Gallagher affectionately mocked Montreal journalists.
Remember that now, journalists are allowed to be on site during press conferences. In the past, journalists had to ask their questions to members of the Canadiens' organization through the Zoom platform. Gallagher allowed himself a little bit of sympathy for reporters about this return to normalcy.
"They let you in here now? Ah, that's too bad, we were playing well without you here... Just kidding."
Number 11 made a few comments about the fact that he would be playing with new line partners. Remember that he played mostly with Phillip Danault and Tomas Tatar during the last three seasons, they left the Habs during the summer. A situation that does not seem to overwhelm the main interested.
"I'm very excited to build chemistry with new players."
Also asked about Shea Weber's absence this year, Gallagher proved how dedicated the number 6 is to his team.
Absent or not, "Captain Shea" is still involved in team activities, obviously. He seems to have left a certain legacy for the players in the organization with his leadership and work ethic. He is definitely the example to follow
