During his end-of-season press conference yesterday, Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher made some very painful revelations.
Gallagher revealed that he actually fractured his ankle in the 12th game of the season and played on that injury for a full month! Ouch.
As if that wasn't enough, after that month, he fractured his ankle again! That's what explains his long absence afterwards.
It speaks volumes, once again, about the true passionate player he is.
However, Gallagher admitted yesterday that in hindsight, he realizes he probably shouldn't have played on his fractured ankle, but he wanted to play games so badly this season that he didn't see it at the time.
Number 11 added that he didn't necessarily communicate everything to the team's medical staff, precisely so he could continue playing.
A true warrior, this Gally!
