Cat Toffoli officially reacts to the trade and she delivers a beautiful message to Habs supporters, she is sad
Following the big trade that sent one of the fan favorites, Tyler Toffoli, to the Calgary Flames, the reactions are still going strong. Toffoli reacted himself yesterday.
The excellent Eric Engels, who covers Habs activities for Sportsnet, told us about it yesterday. He had the opportunity to chat with Tyler's wife, Cat (Belanger) Toffoli.
The least we can say is that she did not particularly appreciate the news. As Tyler mentions yesterday, Cat Toffoli admits to being literally in tears.
She doesn't want to have to move on from Montreal. She admits to being excited for Tyler, for a potential playoff run, but she already miss Montreal, a city she's fallen deeply in love with and a city her family cares deeply about.
She says she is incredibly grateful to the Canadiens and to the Montreal community. She feels indebted to so many people here, she says.
Today, she officially reacted via social media:
