Several players were announced today that they were going to be puton waivers by their respective teams, including Charles Hudon.
The former Montreal Canadiens forward is back in North America after a one-season stay in Switzerland. He had a good season with the Lausanne team, with whom he amassed 32 points, including 15 goals, in 33 points. The native of Alma, Quebec had hoped to break into the starting lineup of the Tampa Bay Lightning, but in vain. He will most likely join the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL.
The names of Michael McNiven, Jean-Sebastien Dea, Laurent Dauphin and Brandon Baddock have been placed on waivers by the Montreal Canadiens. They will join the Laval Rocket.
A few other intriguing players were drafted along with Charles Hudon and the Habs properties.
Among them, there are several potential claims.
Here are the candidates most likely to be taken by another team, in my opinion:
Matthew Phillips
Cooper Marody
Zach Senyshyn (first round 2015)
Brendan Guhle
Pontus Aberg
