Cole Caufield's enthusiasm on and off the ice is contagious. He seems to be enjoying the moment and is comfortable with the Montreal Canadiens organization.
The agent of number 22, Pat Brisson, recently confirmed on 98.5FM that his client is indeed very happy in town.
Cole Caufield is very happy in Montreal. He always has a smile on his face on and off the ice. You can see it in his off-ice involvement, he's very happy." - Pat Brisson
The veteran agent is quite happy to see Caufield having success this season. He says the second half of last season, which coincided with the arrival of Martin St-Louis behind the CH bench, helped build on the positives to start the current campaign.
Brisson also knows that Caufield is fortunate to have a center like Nick Suzuki who can create good plays for his client.
Speaking of Caufield's agent, he will certainly have a lot of work to do with his client in the coming weeks. Caufield is in the final year of his NHL entry-level contract and will likely skip the bridge contract in his next deal. For the CH's sake, this deal will have to be done sooner rather than later.
On that note, we are hearing more and more that Caufield should have a contract similar to Captain Suzuki's, 8 years and $63 million. For more details on this:
