Several experts indicate that Connor McDavid is missing a little something to be considered a special one. Yes, it's unanimous, in terms of raw talent, he has no equal. He is considered one of the most «skilled» players in history... but he is not able to make his team better.
Danièle Sauvageau, who may be looking for a job with the Montreal Canadiens, gave some very interesting testimony about McDavid. According to her, number 97 must be inspired by Marie-Philip Poulin, the best female hockey player on the planet.
"If the Oilers want to be successful, Connor McDavid would have to play like Marie-Philip Poulin. I did an analysis of his game and yes he's clearly the best individually, in terms of results and points, but looking at the stars and captains like Sidney Crosby, yes they are the best on the ice, but they also make their teammates better. And I think that's what Connor needs to work on," said Sauvageau.
The talks about him, about making his teammates better, turns more and more around him, who must calm the fantasy and really take charge of his team. A hard but possible mission!
