With the trade deadline fast approaching, the teams aspiring to the big honors could be tempted to move.
One of these teams could be the New York Rangers.
According to Larry Brooks, the Blue Shirts are looking for a left-handed defenseman to back up young K'Andre Miller. In addition, still according to Brooks, New York would be willing to sacrifice young Swedish defenseman Nils Lundkvist to achieve their goals.
The 21-year-old could be a good acquisition for the Habs, as he fits the style of player that Kent Hughes has identified, which is fast and offensive. As a bonus, Jeff Gorton knows him very well since he drafted him when he was the GM of the Rangers.
Ben Chiarot is also available on the Montreal Canadiens' side, so could we see a deal take shape between the two teams?
Remember that the Tricolore's prospect pool is not filled of quality right-handed defensemen, except for Logan Mailloux. It could clearly be tempting for the new management to add a young developing back like Lundkvist.
