In the final seconds, the Vegas Golden Knights just announced major news, catastrophic to their chances of rebounding in 2022-2023.
Before they've even started, their number one goalie Robin Lehner's season is over (due to hip surgery).
A return date will be determined shortly, but he will be out for (at least) a year. Ouch.
Golden Knights GM Kelly McCrimmon will have to find an alternative quickly, or his team could miss the playoffs (again) for a second year in a row.
Some people talk about karma, but we'll just remind you that Marc-Andre Fleury is healthy!
Will they try to get Jake Allen? To be continued...
