In a very interesting Insider Trading vignette, renowned insider Darren Dreger (TSN) posted that, according to his sources, there is a very good chance that Kent Hughes will make a trade to advance to the first round. Wow, we love it!

The Tricolore's general manager is working on it right now and he's trying hard.

The goal here would be to improve the selection rank of his second first round pick, to possibly talk twice in the top-15.

Dreger reiterates that he would be VERY surprised if the Tricolore drafted 14 times in the 2022 draft. Kent Hughes simply has too many picks and will prioritize quality over quantity.

It would be impossible to draft 14 more players anyway.

So that means we should definitely expect Hughes and Gorton to trade a few picks, to improve the quality of them. And that does go through the trade market.

As reported by DansLesCoulisses.com, for example, picks #26 and #33 could be used to advance into the top-15 or top-12.

It's happening right now!

If this trade goes through and is announced, don't be surprised. The CH will definitely try to move up a few spots, especially if some big names slip through. More details to follow!

This information is perfectly consistent with what Marc Antoine Godin and Arpon Basu of The Athletic reported following the 2022 Combine.
