A few bad surprises awaited Montreal Canadiens fans last week as the 2022 training camp got underway, as we learned that several important players are injured.
This is notably the case of captain Nick Suzuki, Joel Edmundson and Josh Anderson.
In the case of Suzuki, we recently had some good news, in the case of Edmundson, we had some relatively encouraging news, but it was complete silence for Anderson... until now!
Nearly a week after we learned that Josh Anderson would be sidelined, day to day, with an upper body injury, now there's a major development.
As reporter Eric Engels mentioned yesterday, Anderson hadn't even skated (to their knowledge) in a while, which was concerning. The season is coming up fast.
According to Engels, the "day to day" mention was even a bit of an exaggeration.
Anyway, Renaud Lavoie finally had some good news to report on this issue, Josh Anderson was on the ice this Wednesday morning in Brossard.
A major development for a possible return to the game in the first game of the season.
Here are the encouraging and reassuring pictures:
Last season, Anderson had 32 points in 69 games with the Tricolore.
More details to follow!
