It's been a pretty eventful week in the hockey world, with the two suspensions handed out following incidents involving racist actions that have occurred.
On Friday, San Jose Barracuda forward Krystof Hrabik was suspended for 30 games for a racist gesture towards Bokondji Imama of the Tucson Roadrunners that occurred on January 12.
On Saturday, another incident occurred, but this time it was Jordan Subban, P.K.'s brother, who was the victim in an ECHL game. The aggressor, Jacob Panette, was suspended indefinitely for his disgraceful act.
The Montreal Canadiens reacted to this very unfortunate situation by standing behind the two victims of racism. The organization delivered a powerful message, through its Twitter account, to fight all forms of discrimination by reiterating that hockey is for everyone.
It's quite a support from the Montreal organization, it's all to their credit. Pure class!
