This is one of the issues we'll be watching closely over the next few hours: the (new) unfortunate injury suffered by Jake Allen last night in Toronto.

Is his season over? What does this mean for Samuel Montembeault, Carey Price and Cayden Primeau?

We will have more details today and tomorrow.

One thing is for sure, it doesn't look good. Sportsnet's Eric Engels caught up with him after the game and Allen was really frustrated. He called the recent season "a season to forget" and a "season of misery" for him. Don't expect too much good news in his case.

He was really angry (with good reason). The bad luck has been with him since October.

Remember that Allen was injured once this fall after colliding with Dylan Larkin and again against the Bruins in mid-January. (He missed a long period of time)

We will certainly have more details soon about the severity of his injury.

As for Martin St-Louis, he said that the goalie's health condition will be re-evaluated later today. And he made it clear that no, it won't change the plan with Carey Price, who will return when he feels ready.

On this subject, let's recall that in the last few minutes, the organization of the Canadiens proceeded to the recall of the young Cayden Primeau :

Congratulations to Jeff Drouin (Fanadiens.com) for finding the photos.
