As part of his post-lottery media availability, Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes answered a lot of super interesting questions, including the possibility of trading his first overall pick:
Also, on a lighter note, reporter Mike Morreale (NHL.com) asked Hughes if he had received a message from his son Jack, to convince him to draft him first overall. (He is eligible to be drafted in 2022 and is expected to go in the first round)
See Kent Hughes' response:
"Jack will not be our first overall pick, I can promise you that!" - Kent Hughes, when jokingly asked if he received a text message from his son, pressuring him to be taken at pick #1

A nice moment from the press briefing.
All kidding aside, he obviously wouldn't get into who he's going to draft with his first overall pick, but he's looking forward to meeting Shane Wright. The meeting in question will be at the official NHL physicals, May 29-June 4, in Buffalo. This is commonly referred to as the NHL Draft Combine.
He adds that he will evaluate each player and draft the best one. In case of a tie, he will turn to the needs of the club.
