Former Montreal Canadiens forward David Desharnais is still playing in Switzerland's top league, and at the age of 36, he's still playing at a very high level.
With Fribourg-Gotteron HC, he has 10 points in 15 games this season, and 43 points in 47 games last season. He has been with the same team since 2019.
This would be over soon.
We just learned that Desharnais would officially be in his last season of professional hockey, and he would announce his retirement at the end of the year.
"He never told me officially, but it's probably going in that direction," says his current coach Christian Dubé.
In 584 career games in the NHL, the Quebecer has collected 252 points. A brilliant career, he can really be proud of himself!
